With the aim to be the number one small business bank in South Africa, ABSA have to differentiate them in the market and thus offer the best products and services to their clients.  In support of this aim, ABSA Small Business in partnership with BDB Data Bureau, will be launching a new product, an internet based payroll service called iPayroll in November 2006.
 
Absa (50% shareholder in BDB Data Bureau) will provide small business owners access to a cost effective and user-friendly on-line payroll solution.  This service will be provided as part of the Business Internet Banking (BIB) product offering, thus expanding their service offering to their customer base.

iPayroll will provide customers an “anytime, anywhere” payroll facility which is safe and secure  as well as supported by Absa and aligned with Business Internet Banking security, backup and audit policies. The service will enable the customer to provide pay slips and IRP5’s for their employees and make salary payments to the employees as well as third parties e.g. pension funds, provident funds, SARS, etc.
